Yet 1 team manages to do it every year

I know football is different from baseball but the '19 football team beat the teams they were supposed to and did it handedly, baseball lost to ULL and Nicholls. They should have never dropped those 2 games. But I will say their tournament run was nice except for game 2 against Florida. But '19 football was as close to perfect as I've ever seen.

The CWS was pretty amazing, but the season, overall, was frustrating actually.

2019 is the greatest sports team we've ever had. the record and schedule shows that.

Can has and will be replicated. It’s football. It’s inevitable.

Baseball is a whole different animal.

Less that 5 years and we have had an offense that rivals the 19 offense. I think everyone is just in simpleton mode with their purple and gold glasses about 19. Yeah it was a great season, but we didn’t do something that hasn’t/ or will never be done again

Even better than 2019 football. That season was magical and overcame unbelievable odds

Ehh i don’t know about that. While i do agree that baseball is more difficult to win a championship. There was no doubt in our minds that the 2019 team was winning the championship. I did not feel that way about the 2023 baseball team, i just felt like we had a chance. Especially against wake forest.

2019 LSU football is one of the greatest , if not THE greatest championship team in the history of the NCAA. What happened that season was just unreal.

You are getting down voted like crazy and I am not saying I agree but your statement isn't without some merit. 2019 football pretty much steamrolled through the season without much resistance especially in the post season. On the flip side of things 2023 baseball had some struggles with pitching at times and faced numerous do or die spots in post season and beat some monster teams.

The 2023 baseball team was tre Morgan's career higlight away from being eliminated. We fricking struggled through the playoffs to win. We didn't even win our conference. 2023 LSU baseball was an incredibly talented team that blew games it should of won, and struggled through multiple parts of the season.

what odds?

started the season as unanimous #1 in the country and spent most of the season there.
we were the favorites to win almost from the word jump.

Then why do we have more championships in baseball than we do in football?

because we hired the greatest College Baseball coach ever and our division rival hired the greater in football.

yeah, I just hate being #1 for the vast majority of a season.
we hit a lull in May. other than that, we were literally the best team in the entire damn country for all but about 2 maybe 3 weeks.

There will never be a baseball team that wins the cws that doesnt have struggles and close games along the way

And we steamrolled the regionals and supers

Always will be for lsu, especially when they are a top 10 preseason team, which they almost always are

I get what you are saying, but after we lost to WF to go to the losers bracket, the odds were stacked against LSU. We had to beat Tennessee for the 4th time, then beat the #1 team in the country twice in a row, then go win a 3 game series against Florida. What LSU did in that stretch was incredibly impressive, no matter how talented you are.
