Ole Miss gets huge win
Sec will likely get 10 and lsu won’t be top ten in sec
We’re only 2 games back of 8th place Bama and if we actually wanted to make the postseason we could control our own destiny by beating them the next 2 games. Then you are only a game behind Ole Miss and you control your destiny against them too.
1 game back of UF and 2 back of Vandy but they have very tough schedules. If the baseball team wasn’t made up of choke artists they would have a path to a regional by winning the next 2 games and 2/3 next weekend. We’ve already blown multiple late leads in our SEC schedule though where we should’ve won. Team just doesn’t have it this year

Playing #14 Texas, State (in Starkville), #8 UF, #1 Ark, #6 Vandy, #4 UT (Knoxville), #1 Texas A&M will decrease your W’s pretty quickly.
That’s 15 games vs Top 10 Teams, 16 vs Top 20 & 6 games vs current #1.
Take any of the top 10-20 in College baseball rankings today and give them LSU’s schedule and honestly tell me if they’d still be in the same place as far as rankings. They wouldn’t.
SOS is a big damn deal, and being the defending NC’s is something.
The other point is NCAA want’s LSU’s fan base in the tourney.
That being said, 13 conference wins shouldn’t be enough, outside the SEC!
In the SEC with this schedule, I’d say yes IMHO.

That being said, if the committee has the last two national champions on the bubble to look at, I bet they screw someone else to let us both in. Especially after our national championship run two years ago where we were the last team in
