First off, the DT’s you mentioned are all average players at best who got paid significantly higher than they are worth by three schools who have been struggling lately to stay relevant in college football. LSU could have easily matched or exceeded offers from those schools but chose not to because it would have been a terrible investment at that price. Is it a good idea to pay $80 for a jar of peanut butter at the store because your doctor said you need more protein? Second, you created an account recently and bitch incessantly about everything BK does. You’re either a troll or just completely out of touch with reality.

For starters, you're not fricking talking about recruiting.

That's a portal auction. Those guys weren't recruited; they were bought.

This false. I’ve been bullish on thus team, we just desperately need DTs. Blidi wasn’t paid near what Williams was. We could have outbid Auburn if we wanted

You`re right LSU could have out bid AU, what does that do to the lockeroom
moral.Everybody wants BK to throw $$$ at these kids without thinking about
how the players who have been here working their asses off and dont get
paid the same amount.People need to look at the big picture and take into
consideration to the whole program.Every one just thinks emotionally and
dont see the BIG PICTURE.

How do you know we won’t add anyone else before the season? The coaches know better than anyone about this team’s chemistry and its needs. We could very easily add another depth piece for a much better price to give us similar production as Blidi, Williams, or Barrow. People like you who panic at every turn aren’t fit to be in a leadership position.

Another recruiting thread with LSUTIGERS8181 and Draco Malfoy proving they know nothing about recruiting or college football in general.

How so? Because what I said would happen actually happened? We whiffed on Blidi, Barrow and Williams. We don’t have any future DT visits that have been announced. So how do I not know recruiting?

Huge difference between "whiffing" and not doing something stupid. None were worth the $$$$$ being thrown around by OU, Miami, or Aubie, nor were they worth the locker room upheaval said $$$ would have caused. That is not whiffing, that is taking a pass on a losing hand.

We will see better DL play from our guys because we actually have a coach. Guys will immediately be better. Add the ULM kid, maybe one more. Put weight on Reilford or Breaux (can’t remember which one that’s been putting on weight for DL) get Dom ready to roll and we already have two deep ready to roll. Throw in Washington and one other guy and we rolling three deep.

Pretty good amount of pumping you laid down here. If we’re relying on freshmen on the defensive line, it’s going to be a long arse season. We ranked 108th in defense last year and we had 3 defensive linemen get drafted. Besides the defensive line, it’s all the same players.

Sure, coaching will be better, but it’s hard to believe that it’ll be good enough to compete for a spot in the playoff which is where we should be under a 3rd year headcoach. Used to be that we expected to be in contention for the 4-team playoff in a coach’s 3rd year. I don’t think that’s in the cards for this team this year.

Plenty of guys aren't heavily recruited for various reasons.

Plenty of guys develop late.

Dt play must be a priority for our defense as a unit. we don’t have a Heisman to score points at will. We will actually find it necessary to have balance on defense or be prepared to lose several games.

You’re right, no team in the history of college football has had Freshman make a difference.
