Who is left for us to go after in the portal at DT?

It seems we missed on our top 3 options.The Williams kid from TCU has went to Oklahoma instead today or yesterday.

We are in a dire situation there. You’d think they would want to have the best DL coach in college but it’s all NIL.

I think the Bowens kid from Oregon was recruited by Coach Bo Davis coming out of TX high school; just a RS Freshman (only played in a handful of games). Good size and multiple years to work with.

There's no way all the Pump Nuts can Pump the current DT situation into an acceptable situation.
I don't care how much BB improves the overall Defense or Bo Davis coaches up the current DT's, there aren't enough talented bodies available and it's going to bite them in the arse during the season.......

Then let those guys go. Do you really want a guy on the team that only cares about the money? I get the NIL plays a part now, but if a quick check is all a guy is after then move on. Chances are he’ll just transfer out again and try to get more money from someone else.

Not many left and we blew our wad on the others. There are none scheduled to visit. Real possibility we don’t get any after Kelly publicly saying we need them

OU is rumored to have paid Wilson between $1.5-2M. That is simply not sustainable for a 3rd-tier player. And it can't be good for the locker room.

If CJ West won't be available until August, he won't know the team or scheme and will not have done any strength and conditioning workouts over the summer. I don't know how much I would count on him to be impactful at the beginning of the season. He could be a workout warrior, but you will have no idea what he's doing until he shows up and goes through conditioning.

You've obviously never been in any supervisor or managerial role.
Its obvious we do pay looking at recruiting classes. Its also obvious is we dont overpay for 1 year rentals. Its also pretty clear our pay is likely also performance based as Perkins, Campbell and Jones are still around and Heard isn't. This is called managing a roster with the budget you have and if you had a brain you could see this.
You cant bring in a new guy and overpay for him without upping your current guys. You think guys like Womack and Perkins will not be disgruntled knowing some random average DT is making likely twice what they do for less productivity? Lets be honest, Williams isnt an All Sec type guy. He's an average DT, albeit better on paper than what we got at DT but average none the less.

How so? Because what I said would happen actually happened? We whiffed on Blidi, Barrow and Williams. We don’t have any future DT visits that have been announced. So how do I not know recruiting?
