Hurricanes running back TreVonte’ Citizen has entered the transfer portal, a source told the Sun Sentinel.

Due to a devastating knee injury, Citizen did not play a game for UM. He did play in spring this year and got snaps in the spring game.

Someone you’d like to see succeed.

Dude has been there for 2 years and hasn't carried the ball once. I found that out months back when I looked up that lost 2022 class. LSU got 2 of the only 3 stars of that 2022 Louisiana group. I know it's only 2 years in, but that group is looking really bad so far.

He got hurt in fall camp of '22 and didn't get cleared until late in the '23 season.

Why would we take a RB after an ACL injury? Just because he’s from Louisiana? He’s not some can’t miss prospect. Take a kid with clean health.

If he can pass a physical and we have the room, he should get a serious look. He doesn't have to be an instant starter and gives us needed RB depth.

Highly doubt this will be the case. We’re over the limit at the moment and our main portal priority is getting a workable DT. We would have to cut an additional current scholarship player (who is presumably healthy) to take a flyer on recently injured RB who already spurned LSU once… not worth.

Why on earth would we take Citizen if he can’t get on the field at Miami? They haven’t exactly been a RB factory lately. We need instant impact guys from the portal. Numbers are already tight and he isn’t unseating Williams or Jackson. We’ll only need a RB if Holly can’t come back. All signs seem to point to him returning.

Supposedly a horrific injury that he may never recover from. I think Miami processed him.

ALL signs? I wouldn’t say that. There is still the gun charge.

Miami is the favorite for Damien Martinez. The transfer from Oregon State.
