Has a team won a championship yet built off of players from the transfer portal? It seems like every team that’s won since it started are teams that were built through really good recruiting/player retention.

Obviously I could be totally wrong, but it seems like the way to do it (so far) is player development.

I would agree with this. But when you’re recruiting is really bad in certain areas, you have to make up for it with either better recruiting or transfers. Currently we are doing neither right with most of the defense except maybe LB

No matter the sport, you're not going to build the type of consistency and the culture you want by only portaling.

You have to have a base built the traditional way.

Well yeah. But no one on here is saying LSU should build a team of transfer portal players...

Look no further than what Sanders is doing at CU. Its just never going to work.

Ole Miss killed (on paper) the portal this cycle, time will tell how that works out for them.

From a baseball standpoint, LSU baseball would have been a lot different last year without Skenes and White
