The problems at DL didn’t occur overnight, and it may get worse before it gets better.

The following are all seniors, Sai’vion, Shand, Guillory, Lee, and Gio Paez.

LSU also lost the following in the portal that would a least make one feel a little better about the depth. Tygee Hill, Fitzgerald West, Quency Wiggins, and Bryce Langston. Would love to have 2 of these back.

The 24 class signings McKinley, Johnson, Washington & Breaux, all need to be hits or we are right back here next year. Leaning on sophomores and redshirt freshmen.

Who would’ve thought that in 2024 LSU would be stacking 5* talent at QB and OT, but struggling to get defensive lineman. Bizarro world we live in.

When did LSU fans become such pussies?

We've been really bare at the position for a few years now and none of these guys shows any sign they'd be able to contribute more than garbage time snaps in non conference games.

Sure, it would be great to have them as warm bodies but lets not kid ourselves.

Everyone would still be melting if we had those guys.

so looking at it position wise I am into worried about DT.

DE was an issue lastbyear because the guys we played weren’t good and we were too stubborn to out talent in the field.

We have Womack, Reliford, Covina, CJ Jackson, and Carpenter to develop. They’re all Soph and Freshmen.

DT is where it is rough. McKinney is a great pick up, but then we have Breaux who probably needs a year or 2 to bulk up and De’Myrion Johnson. But again the 2024 DT class who knows. No huge names in state.

Its been a problem often going on 10 years. 2014 Lacoture and Godchaux had to play 90% of the snaps as true freshman. It got a little better in 205/2016 then 2017 was a disaster on the DL - remember when we got blown out at State because we only had 3 DL who could even play

LSU's DL room hasn't been where it should be since 2012

I mean that's a major issue for BK, considering this is year 3

Hard to overcome 29 scholarship players left by Orgeron in 2022. Kelly has only 2 full recruiting years and now has a new dline coach.
