Yeah thinking like that will get a program left behind. Especially trying to land top names in transfer portal.

Again easy for someone who doesn't contribute a dime to LSU.

Just becauae they asking for more money for service? Most these DTs are solid and only playing for 1 more year.

Most will make it to pros

It's new era of college football jump in line or get left behind. Saban saw it coming and wanted no parts of it.

You act like LSU is broke they just being conversative with spending. Like I said in past sometime you might have to overpay it is the game now.

I'm a fan and players been getting paid before NIL was made legal.

I contribute every year by buying merch online and on LSU campus.

ding ding ding. We open the wallet when it comes to retaining and hiring staff, but we just don’t have the same approach when it comes to paying players. I just don’t get the conservative approach on that front when we all know we don’t have the bodies inside the trenches defensively.

Don't have to be texas rich. It's been stated LSU raised over 7 million nil goal for 2024 and they offered B.T., Wingo, and Mason nice money to return. They have the money it's just if they want to overpay a player at this point.

Don't get me wrong i still think they land 1 or 2 DTs. We just have to see who it will be

Because a lot of these guys will never play in the NFL

If you are a 4/5 year sr transferring then you’re decent but not a game changing player because you would have just gone pro

I’m not sure whether you’re saying that they raised more than $7m total or that they raised $7m *more than their goal*, but if it’s the former, we are simply not even in the ballpark with programs like texas and ohio state - the big dogs are spending $20m+ per year

Wingo and Smith were offered 500K each to return but decided to go the Draft route. LSU has the money. If they didn't Bryce Underwood would have never committed here.

Looks like Miami is swinging for the fences for Barrow and his team mate Derrick Harmon

I mean we not at Texas, Georgia, or OSU level but 7 million can go along ways. Every player on the team isn't getting big money.
