BK still refuses to pay. I don’t get it, even when we are absolutely desperate. At some point you do what’s necessary. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have principles about the whole thing, but unless he wants a repeat or worse than last year’s D , he better pony up.

I got massacred on here a week ago saying we were going to go 0/5 because BK refuses to outbid teams at positions of need. We are going to literally have the worst DTs in the entire SEC

If what is speculated about how much he is getting from OU is true… it means they’re desperate as frick and their dline behind him must be even worse than ours. No sane team and staff is going to pony up a million + for Dlinemen unless that linemen is Ndamukong Suh or Aaron Donald… this guy may be good, but it’s the right call to not drain your NIL coffers on a guy who may ultimately end up being average or potentially even worse. You only break the bank for proven commodities/freakish 1st round measurables.

Congrats to the kid for cashing in when he could. Lesson from this is to pay your best recruits and not have to rely on the portal to fill desperate needs.

Insiders said 500-700k for the DT position this time. Is it worth that? Love to have him. But you just busted your nut on the so called best position development coach in the country.
