Thomas Bachman is a very good coach who doesn't hesitate to maneuver his personnel. Last year, I think two WRs moved to DB and that helped ignite a run.

Alexandria has an interesting schedule with West Feliciana, Union Parish, West Monroe, Destrehan, Opelousas, Ruston, Neville and Many among the opponents.

I assume with open enrollment in Rapides Parish schools, that these days ASH is an all-star team with players normally slated for Bolton, Pineville, Tioga, Peabody, etc.

On second thought, I'm not sure if I interpreted the post correctly.

It's possible that he meant there is a new starting QB who will be joined by Lindsey and the other mentioned player.

Is Vaughn Darbon a potential QB candidate, or just a player to keep an eye on?

I was under the impression he’s another running back to watch. Maybe I read the whole thing wrong

Like Clean said, he's apparently one of the RBs. Maybe will have a breakout year and become THE RB towards the back end of the schedule.

It's just a way to put the ball in the best players hand every play. Now every snap you have to account for the QB backside. QB power, and draw when it's third and long can be plays that convert. The formations can dictate to the defense what they should do, but you have to keep enough guys in the box to stop him. If he can throw even a little bit you have something special.

I'm glad we have him committed. Our RB room is thin in numbers for the 25 season.

No, ASH will have one of two sophomores starting at QB, I would not see something different unless they really really shite the bed. Both should be better throwers than last years QB, but they are sophomores playing what may be the toughest schedule in the state. ASH made a shift last year and really fed Lindsey to offset a reduced passing game from years prior. I would see this continuing, and Vaughn is a serious back, there are plenty of college coaches at practice these days that is for sure. They also have a soph WR that is really looking the part in Alex Fontenot.

FIrst day of practice JT stretched alot wide, second day he was really looking good inside. I dont know anything regarding if that is by design of practice or what ever, it is just an observation I made. On that note Vaughn definitely was breaking some big runs, not sure if it was 1s on 2s, 1s on 1s, or 2s on 2s when he was doing it .
