I think Kelly is doing the right thing. The plan is, come to LSU as a recruit and develop, and you will get paid- and you will get drafted. But we're not going to make you a millionaire if you're basically depth tier, and you're coming in for 1 year to fill a hole. Because if you do that, you're going to get stuck doing that every year.
The program will be fine.

None of the guys y’all have been clamoring over have proven they are SEC caliber. I mean for goodness sakes Demonic had a whopping 2 assisted tackles total against the only two decent teams he faced last year. And you wanted Kelly to fork out 1.5 million or more for that?!? LOL

That interview is tha annual Brian Kelly lowering expectations interview, and shopping down a different aisle interview. You will hear that every year in some form. He wants to lower expectations saying he is doing things the right way.... That way if it's disappointing season he can fall back on it...and if his team does good he will use the same interview as evidence of his great coaching.
