Damonic WIlliams is visiting LSU today and at some point on or after his visit there will be smoke that LSU is the favorite on landing him. Then there will be a swift change of events and Texas will swoop in, drop a huge bag and land him. I hope I am wrong, but if you just don't celebrate prematurely until he officially is on campus practicing for LSU, the melt won't be as bad. Do not set yourself up for disappointment.

ETA: Its playing out word for word to what I said, but yall didn't want to listen.

Nice little made up scenario you have there. You have quite the imagination.

If not, time for a 5 star to act like one when he gets to campus. May need mckinley to have a Davon godchaux type freshman year. Starting and playing tons of reps.

Have other bodies can throw in there to spell reps.. and baker will have to get creative with fronts he presents to offenses. Why he's being paid what he is. To maximize personnel he's handed. We don't have 8 5 stars across the d front like oh st, and just line up with 4 and rush every down.

It’s called negative self-talk.

Outside of a 'wrong board' comment I have never RA'd anything. But this thread should be moved to the trash folder.

The recruiting board used to be so much better than it is now. Trolls have discovered it.

He did say he hoped he was wrong. Doesn't that count for something?

It ain’t that serious either he comes to LSU or he goes elsewhere. Not the first recruit and definitely not the last one to go through the process to find which school is better for whatever it is he is seeking

It's borderline intolerable during these relatively quiet news / commitment periods. People just wildly speculating, overreacting and behaving like it's the tRant. I guess that's what you get with anonymous message boards ::shrugs::

What is this board's obsession with Texas? They have money but this board acts like they can get whoever they want whenever they want. If this was the case why does LSU win out on recruits they go for sometimes? LSU has money too and there's a limit to what Texas will spend just like LSU will or anyone else will. They may or may not lose. You win some you lose some. Maybe LSU doesn't put value in this DT like Texas does even if we're desperate.

Normal people don't have to lie to themselves in order to manage disappointment.

Time to grow up, dude.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that most people on this site know how the basics of recruiting work. Will never stop fans from reacting to news because there is passion about the team, as there should be.

Correct, and if LSU feels that this guy really wants to be here and is worth the price, they’ll probably get him.

Just stay positive it'll be alright on way or the other.....If we get 1 out of the 2 (williams/barrow) we'll be good....if not then mckinley will just have to ball out from the jump!!!
