LSU won't beat out Miami with NIL for Barrow. If lsu ends the portal cycle with 1 guy & another flyer on ULM kid you have to call it a disaster especially when your HC says at the podium DL will be addressed in the portal & you could go Ofer

It also doesn't help that the first DL coach left for another job in the spring before season two...forcing LSU to hire a new DL coach in May before season two...who, unfortunately, has to leave the team due to illness just 3 months later...forcing LSU to go through an entire season without a permanent DL coach until they can hire their third one in 3 years.

Everyone is aware of the context, but at some point the leader has to take control of the process. Happens in every business at some point. It's idiotic not to lay blame 3 years into a tenure.

This was my first year following it. Last year I sat on the sidelines and just watched. It's a lot of misinformation it seems within a week

I think Barrow is waiting to see what William does. Barrow has taken all his visit. Not saying he won't go to Miami but he would have committed by now.

I think it's safe to say that Miami and their big donor are going to offer more than LSU. The question is, is it enough to sway him from what is likely a better opportunity for him at LSU.

LSU has back to back 10 win SEC seasons, Bo Davis developing him and more national exposure and even with a bad D got 3 interior DL drafted.

Miami has 3 seasons of 5-7, 7-6, 5-7 and a crowd average of 55k.

Long term, LSU is a better financial option for his future.

that might be a paid attendance figure bc actual butts in the seat at a miami home game would be closer to 35k

Rumor is that Oklahoma made a substantial offer and that LSU is out.

I wish LSU would just tell these players “Oh we will pay you 8 million.” To get these other schools freaking out and maybe even have to offer them more and just try and bankrupt the entire thing.

If someone really did offer 2 million then I’m glad LSU is out of it because that’s ridiculous. The Texas A&M dlineman that went to ole Miss would be understandable if he got that but not either of these two. That’s ridiculous. A lot of Vet pros don’t even get that and have actually proven themselves.

The asking price of so much of this is absolutely ridiculous. A ton of these schools simply have to start refusing to play this game and pay it.

BK still not wanting to spend cash. People need to realize we’re going to continue to get beat out on the big names. Our D line recruiting fricking blows
