Not liking LSU approach in the portal so far…. Other schools are being aggressive and landing big commits and LSU has yet to do anything when we’re about to lose our 3 best offensive players and had the worst defense I’ve ever seen.

The highest ranked commit is Riley Leonard, at #17, who is a quarterback that we're not pursuing. No one has really landed any "big commit" of consequence.

We have 2 5 star wide receivers waiting in the wings, bringing in a 5 star tight end, and have a very good young RB and TE room.

Do you think we're just not working defensive players at all? There are like 4 defensive backs that we are in on and are favorited to land.

Even if he does go to Auburn we luckily won't have to deal with him

LSU is currently over the 85 number when you subtract known attrition to this point and include the incoming freshman class. They are not currently in a spot to be very active in the portal. It’s going to have to be someone they see as day 1 starter at a position of need.

Maybe not, but ZT loves LSU and has wanted to commit here now 3 years running. The first 2 we didn’t offer. If Auburn NILs him, it’s another red flag we aren’t willing to compete beyond the obvious 5 star types (Perk, Bryce, etc.).

I mean you can't spend money you don't have, and you have more needs than a ST returner

I agree we have talented players at that position, but the WRs were 4 stars and so is the TE commit.

Were Sampson and Brown not 5 stars? Also I beleive Green will be a 5 star in the final rankings. He's shot up the rankings and dominated post season play. If he's not a 5 star, he'll be the highest ranked 4 star in the rankings. He's currently ranked 36 on on3 and they do 32 5 stars.

This is correct. For the 2nd year running, Auburn is moneywhipping their way into a solid class. If they put in a "damn strong offer" I'm not sure he's worth the match. No sense overspending for a return man rendered useless by teams that kick touchbacks and directionally punt well. Not sure he upgrades our wr room. Spend but don't overspend type of kid for me.
