Looks a lot like what I posted a few weeks ago. I think we determined it was peppervine. In my experience it’s brutal to try to get rid of

you’re not gonna get all the root out from that, very similar to trumpet vine. Best best is to pull all you can, then spot spray new growth with 30% vinegar and a little dish soap

then just keep an eye on it. There’s vine killers you can use but those will kill everything including your grass

As of right now I don't have any grass . I had a tractor come in and chop and grade my back yard so it appears to be 100% weeds right now, this being one of the many. Some of them I've never even seen before. I think my only option at this point is to sod, but I guess I'm going to roundup everything in sight and then lay sod over the top. Never done sod before so I'm hoping thats an appropriate approach.

There are some sprays that are just triclopyr and it will not kill the grass. Just the woody trees/vines.

Crossbow is a combination of 24d and triclopyr.
