Moving into a new home and want to purchase 4-5 prints to hang throughout the house. The only artist I'm familiar with that captures Louisiana in his art is RC Davis LINK

Any other artists similar to him?

I have a few of Ashton Jefferson's NOLA art. More modern colorful art however, but being in the NE now it's a conversation starter and something that reminds me of home.

He's from Baton Rouge and makes a lot of colorful art. I've given a few prints to family and have one in my house. The original canvases are expensive but look nice. Mostly of famous celebrities but a lot of LSU stuff and a few things to remind you of Louisiana.

Most of our stuff is Louisiana/outdoor related artwork. Chase Mullen, Becky Fos, and my pride and joy is a 9' printed alligator from Leslie Charleville on a large wall in our living room.

I've got half a dozen Walter Inglis Anderson prints. I love the combination of nature and art deco that he did. There is a store for his stuff in Ocean Springs, at least there was a decade ago. I love the alligator print in particular. Also a few Audubon prints.

I stick with local... like real local. We have that's a graffiti piece that was done with my wife's business name. Friend of mine does that one the side so i like to support those that give things a solid try.

Look up Robert Rucker prints or paintings on ebay. Lots of LA themed work. My favorite is the French Market

I’ve got my late sister’s paintings, both oil and water colors, and some of my Aunt Gertie stuff too. Aunt Gertie has things on display at the State Capital. Not just paintings, but sculptures and stuff too. Got a couple of handmade now approaching 100 years old throw rugs in the hallway from the maternal grandmother 1st cousin who got her pharmacy degree from Tulane in 1921 as the 3rd woman ever enrolled. She embroidered another framed hanging US map with all the state flowers too.

My wife has alot of artist friends so they are forever painting stuff and she moves stuff around on the walls constantly. I've managed to hold on to my one piece which is a raushenberg.

Several Will Eskridge originals. Athens local artist.

Several RA Miller originals, also a Georgia native.

My wife does stained glass, so there's a lot of that hanging around until the items sell. My house is basically an online stained glass gallery/inventory warehouse. I would post her website but she has way too much personal info on it.
