It ran for an hour then stopped running. I waited an hour and tried starting it again -- it starts, then stops, then starts... Oil level seemed ok although I checked it during this crazy weather. Will try again in the AM to diagnose.

Prior homeowner has it set up where you can only start it manually if that matters.

Any ideas?

Is it overloading maybe?

Does it show an error code?

Not sure about error code -- I was moving kind of fast to try and start it so I wouldn't get scalped by flying debris. It did turn off after soon after I turned AC on but AC was off when I tried to restart it. 14.5kW should be enough to handle lights, tv, fridge. Water heater is gas.

Did you get it running? If not I’d post this on the OT so more people can see it if you’re still without power.

Do you have enough gas pressure. Some neighborhoods in Watson had issues with theirs last October when delta or zeta hit. A drop in gas pressure due to all the generators pulling natural gas in your area.

Is your air filter wet? Someone else posted not to run them during the storm because wind could blow the rain into the air filter and give people problems.

Thx guys -- I'll check the air filter. Tried again this morning and it still does the start/stop/start thing. Not sure about gas pressure.

Will it run without a load on it?

The stepper assembly failing will cause it to stop running as described.

I had someone take a look at it and he seems to think it is likely the voltage regulator based on the meter readings. Thx for the input -- power restored last night so I will get it looked at by a professional.
