I have a Frigidaire PRMC2285af that stopped cooling. The panel on the inside of the door shows "00" and all the lights work. I took the rear panel off to troubleshoot, and noticed the compressor is not kicking on. I tried a hard reset on the fridge and didnt have any luck. The unit was made in 2021. Anyone have any ideas what might be the issue?

Does your manual have a list of error codes and what they mean? If your compressor isn't kicking on, you may have a bad compressor and need to replace? That's all I can think of. Google might help too. I'm not sure a lot of people know error codes off the top of their head.

I tossed the manual a while back. I checked google, didn't see much.

go to youtube and search for videos on that fridge

new fridges today have 3-4, and sometimes 5 circuit boards that control different things. you will see videos of the most common issues people need to fix.

PS - compressor not running isnt always a bad thing, often its a good thing if something else just isnt turning it on.

That’s what I’m hoping for, just need to pin point the issue.

Check for power to compressor. Sounds like bad compressor relay or inverter board if it's a 3 phase compressor. As long as it's getting power. If not getting power is a bad relay on the control board.

After looking at it again yesterday, I’m leaning towards the compressors control board/inverter. Everything else on the works, and is running besides the compressor.

My friend bought a $5000 fridge. Two years old and it dies at least once every six months.
They are all junk now days. Go to local hardware store or lumber yard and buy the $500 dollar fridge. It will last longer.

You need to see if there is 115v going to compressor. If so. Replace the relay on the compressor. Unless there is a Grey box attached to or near the compressor. That's an inverter. If it's getting power by compressor isn't running. Check the smaller plug for voltage. It should constantly be changing from 2v to 5v. If it tests no volts then main control is bad. If you have 115v plus a range of v voltage on the control wires then the inverter is bad. Likely it's a bad inverter that's a common fail point.
Ditto with the relay. A relay is a lot cheaper.
An inverter board can go up to $200 a relay can be a cheap as $15.

Doing good. Back on my feet and back to work. Riding my motorcycle and wrenching on my hoopties.
Other than the 3 days a week I go to the clinic I'm good. Lost weight. Have more energy.
Already have a new kidney lined up as long as the donor is healthy enough.
