Carpenter Bees putting holes in Screen Porch

I was screening in a porch this past weekend and noticed small holes the next morning in the screen panels I had just installed the day prior. Come to find out the carpenter bees are the culprit. I watched one bore a hole in the screen just as it would a board.

Has anybody ever run into this issue or can recommend a different material screen? The screen material is Vinyl-Coated Polyester.

You gotta get rid of the bees. Carpenter bee traps all over have worked for me. I put 3 out on my porch and it filled up with the things. After 3ish years and a few waves of them, I don't have much of a problem anymore. Still leave the traps out.
