Can anyone recommend a good brand battery power lawnmower?

I want something easy to start that has long battery life and also doesn't cost a fortune. Thanks.

Only thing I can add is my neighbor bought a battery mower and shortly thereafter went and bought a gas mower.

Wait till Memorial Day and order directly from GREENWORKS Great deals then.
Their decks are steel not plastic. Prices are much better.
I've had the 60V 21" push model with 5ah battery for 3 years and it's probably my favorite tool in the shop.
You'll be glad you went this route.
Remember you won't have an engine so a push model isn't work to push. Self propelled electric is a waste of money.

I will bet he got a low powered model. Stay away from that.

The EGO plastic decks are extremely durable. Makes it a bit tougher to clean but that's okay.

EGO or Greenworks are fine. I'm pretty sure I burnt out the EGO mower I had because the blade was bent. Warranty for parts was 3 years and they couldn't figure out how to fix it so I got a brand new mower with a continued warranty.

That being said, if your electric mower starts to sound like a prop plane, check the blades. EGO or Greenworks with a minimum 7.5Ah battery will be what you want. No less than 56V.

I had a friend that bought a green works. It came missing a couple bolts for the handle and side discharge. They sent him a new mower. He sold it to me for $250. Cuts great but it won’t cut my yard on 1 battery. I’m about 10k sq ft. I’m not sure I would pay full price. Pretty sure it’s about a $700 mower.

Ego is the standard, first to market, and all that. I’m entering my fifth mowing season with it.

Changing to dual blades this year was a great decision. The cut is fantastic now.
Most, if not all newer models come with this.

Unless you have a tiny yard and like to mow every few days, you probably won't be happy. Plus the cost of replacement batteries is getting ridiculous.

Having to not buy Tru-Fuel for your mower (if you want to properly take care of it) and not needing to replace motor oil and carb parts, the $700 pays it self back within two years. Electricity charging costs are a fraction the cost of gas mowers over their lifetime.

I know there are a lot of diehard gas yard tool baws here, but if there's anything that almost all will agree on, a solid battery weed eater is so much better than a traditional gas one. Easier to use and not having to deal with priming/choke/losing power when using it as an edger.

Now why the hell has this been happening to me lately? Gas not getting to where it needs to go??

Ego from Lowe's for $399

Includes 6 AH battery and charger.
It's about as good of a deal as you will find.

**It doesn't appear to come with two blades, but it is nice that they got the mowing height down to 1.25" on the newer models.

I mow about an acre with my EGO 7.5. great mower. I do about half of the yard lately on a single battery because it's growing so fast and that burns the battery faster when chewing through high grass but I have 3 other batteries from various ego tools so I either throw the 5 in and keep going or take a damn break for some ice water and do a little edging while the battery is recharging because I'm on a hill and I get tired after I'm halfway done.

The key to long life is not letting the grass get too tall. You can almost double the acreage you can cut on a single battery.

Don't let these negative posts sway you.
No need to drop $700 on one.
A 60V 5.0ah battery gets my 9500 sq ft done on one battery
