Anyone ever owned/used a 30 inch push mower?

I have a smallish yard but it still takes me about an hour and a half to mow, I currently use a 21 inch Honda push mower.

I keep two cars in my garage so don't really have space for any kind of rider so I was considering maybe getting one of those commercial Exmark or Scag 30 inch push mowers.

Seems like it'd save me some mowing time so I could mow every 4 days or so instead of once a week. I also think it'd look a little better.

I know Toro also makes a more of a homeowner type 30 in, looks I could get an Exmark commercial version with about 30 hrs on it from a local dealer for about what a new Toro would cost.

Something like this

A 28" or 30" Snapper rear engine rider will take up about the same amount of space in your garage. You can get a good to great condition used one for $400-800 on FB Marketplace. Used is the only option since they don't make them anymore. Simple easy mower to fix or maintain with plenty of parts available. You can stand them up on the end to take up less space in the off season.

I don't own one yet but I've been thinking about one just for my backyard. My front yard is pretty small and my 21" Honda handles it just fine but a 30" - 33" mower would be very welcome for my flat and unobstructed backyard. Looked at DeWalt, Toro, Craftsman, and Cub Cadet. I am pretty much going to go with whatever I find the best deal on, can't justify spending too much for a commercial-grade unit as my yard is not difficult to mow and whatever I get won't be stressed even with a crappy B&S engine.

I have the toro 30”. I bought it when I had 1/3 acre to mow. It did cut about 20 minutes off my formerly 1 hour cut time.
It cut well, but was heavy compared to my old Honda 21”.

I have a much bigger yard now and use a zero turn but I do pull out the Toro about once a month to clear up some tight areas.

I may have to look at the Toro too, don't really need a commercial mower but it seemed like a better deal to get a barely used commercial mower vs a new homeowner model.

I had a Gravely WAW 34” and it was really great. I was mowing about a half acre with it.

FIL has it now.

That exmark looks rugged. I've had the toro timemaster 30" for 12 yrs. and it's been a good mower for me. Had to repair the drive once but it was minimal.

I have the 30” toro time master and it cut down the time as advertised by about 40%. It is a little heavier, but not too bad unless you have a bunch of tight spaces. The commercial 30” mowers are quite a bit heavier though so it might be an issue depending on your situation. The toro handle folds up to 90 degrees easily so it doesn’t take up much additional space.

Grew up with a huge Yazoo, I don't remember what size it was but I remember it being yuge, like really really big. Big wheels, lots of steel, and loud
