the number of times I need to crap in the AM?

I eat clean and I am a very regular AM pooper but the problem is that I usually have to visit the head at least 3-6 times to fully evacuate my bowels. While I enjoy the me time in the bathroom it is a little annoying and makes it tough to fully start my day because nothing is worse than taking a shower and then needing to defile your freshly polished starfish with yet another slam.

TIA!

Get a bidet, baw.

I take metamucil every morning. Hasn't kept me from crapping twice but they're usually ghost turds now. 3 whipers all the time.

I’ve had one for years. Total game changer. I still don’t like to poo after I’ve showered though.

Why?

I think you’re just going to have to trust me baw. Plus this is not an infrequent occurrence. It’s very rare that I don’t have to crap at least 3 times. Been that way for years. Talked to my uncle and he said he’s the same way. Maybe it’s just genetics.

If you can't do that simple task you aren't actually 'eating clean'.

So youre trying to suggest that its lack of clean diet that is causing the issue?

I disagree since what I eat has little bearing on need to shite 5 times every morning.

And I'm 7.9% BF on the inbody at the gym so I'm doing ok.

3-6 bowel movements per day is NOT normal. I think we're just trying to gather information to help you.

Some foods aren't considered "dirty" but are known to be aggravating to GI systems. Eggs for example are fine for many people but can trigger issues for others.

So if you really want advice, post your typical day of eating and see if you can get what you want out of this thread.

I'm not suggesting anything. I can't suggest anything since you won't post your 'clean diet'.

Something is clearly wrong. You can disagree until you are blue in the face. I once thought walking around at 285 pounds at 10% bodyfat was 'healthy' but it was anything but. You can convince yourself of anything. Its not hard.

Congrats? I'd rather get to the root of the problem than tout my inbody results

When I eat well the day before, it’s one and done in the morning. If I eat like trash, I’m shitting 5-6x the next day.

InBody scans are meh.

My last 3 have me at 10.8% and I know it’s wrong.

Why?

Because until you do, he can't pick apart your diet and say "See, you aren't REALLY eating clean, and until you do, you have no commitment to actually changing things".

As I said, for me its the same everyday. 3-5 times within an hour and then done for the day.

I realize inbody is not completely accurate but 7.9 is still low relatively speaking.

Exactly. And if he cant trust me that I know what clean is then I'm certainly not in a position to be trusted with following his advice.

Well, alright, moron. Let's just answer your question:

quote:

Will adding fiber supplement before bed reduce the number of times I need to crap in the AM?

Most likely not. Fiber can help with consistency of bowel movements by softening stool. It can help for diarrhea issues, but regular incidences of excessive bowel movements indicates an inflammatory condition that could be exacerbated by diet, illness, or lifestyle.

If you want to try fiber, soluble fiber will slow things down whereas insoluble will speed things up. YMMV.

You don't seem to want any help. Not sure why you even posted the question. There's clearly something very wrong its not normal to do what you are doing but at least that inbody scan is making you feel good!!!

I take Metamucil because my gastro doc said it is good for my guts and it cuts down on hemorrhoids because it makes my stools soft. I am 52 and kinda feel like an old geyser admitting this but my trips to the head for this activity are pretty low key now. However I eat a ton of protein and I usually have at least 2 trips in the AM so there is that. Wish I still had my bidet from my last house but overall that isn’t a big deal either.

Any caffeine, nicotine, alcohol or recreational drug use? Also, prescription meds?
