man on the new arm farm...day 4...that first superset on the farm strong has deadlifts supersetted with farmers walk....my traps burn just thinking about it. jesus

Looks like Aaron has fallen in love with carries. I love them so fine with me. but he even has them in the new bench program.

Did he ever say if he was done strength coaching? I haven't seen his name pop up anywhere regarding college programs.

I sent you an email this morning.

ETA: looks like most of the revamped programs are 5 days too

i havent seen him say it, but i dont know if he is willing to move to do it. I know he would be in high demand at a minimum as an assistant. Dunno how much he wants to do that with young kids either.

he seems to be just loving life. hopefully these ones we keep buying from him is providing enough if that is what he wants to do.

new arm farm is only 4 days. bencholic is 5, new dr jacked is 5, filling out the hoodie 2 is 5, brickhouse 2 is 5, mullet 2 is 4, silverback 2 is 4

so seems to be a mix.

any recommendations on which one of these programs to try out?

for reference ive been pretty seriously lifting for a long time now. my last few programs have been Nippard's powerbuilding programs. i ran the original two consecutive cycles and finishing up 2.0 in two weeks so im looking to try something new and some of these have me intrigued. both were the 5-6 day versions but i could make anything work.

I've done Filling out the hoodie 1, silverback, and squatober. I've seen the most Gainz in the size department in silverback.

With your experience I would look at Dr Jacked and Dr Jacked returns. Possibly the arm farm programs if you are looking for more arm focus.

Which ones intrigued you?

They kind of all do lol. I think I’d like my next focus to be a little more pulling/back focused. Put some work in on the v-taper

Prolly Silverback 1 & remastered or filling out the hoodie 1&2 as both have a ton of back work.

You can't go wrong just pick one and run it. Then run it again or go to he sequel.

I suggest just using 90% training max and then adding 5lbs to upper body and 10lbs to lower body TM monthly.

8 weeks then a deload. Do that and when you have to reset, take your tm back 3-4 cycles

Sounds like a solid plan to me, I like the look of silverback. I’ve got two more weeks of my current program and then I’ll do a deload and retest the maxes before jumping in.

Thanks for the advice.

So you offer q&a based consultancy (paid)? Basic things like "In this program what does this mean?" Or "I'm struggling with this, can you answer a few questions and give some guidance"?

Basically I'm looking for a coach via periodic email correspondence. No face to face or phone work.

I don't train people. I have before and I honestly just don't have enough time to do it correctly.

I meant as far as which program from ppsa to buy.

If you have questions post them. If they are questions on ppsa, post in here. Otherwise make a new thread.

I'm starting Grasshopper tomorrow. I see most all the workouts have a section with blanks for the weight or % of 1rp max. What weight should I be doing for these sets?

The sections with blanks, find a weight you can do for the assigned reps. If you do 5 on the first set, but you feel like you could do more, bump the weight up on the next set until it is challenging. Then the next time you have that exercise you will have a reference.

This

Unless you already know your maxes on those lifts. In that case mutiply your max by 0.9 and make that your training max. From there....use the % listed off that training max number.

I suggest running Grasshopper over and over so long as you can add weight each time you rerun. If you can run it 3 times in a row do it.

Take a week off between each. Then move on to another.

Gonna get started on a second round of Hyper-Trophy tonight and excited to attack it, knowing what I'm getting into

Is there a generally agreed-upon approach for core/abs with PPSA? Considering working in a quick circuit on non-squat days

not really. pretty much just do them if you want. most of the new programs have all kinds of carries in them that hit core.

if i was you, i would hit some leg raises in the warm up

then hit some more or some roll outs during a cool down

KISS approach

how did you like hyper-trophy? what kinds of gains did you espierence?

Certainly favored. I typically just superset a crunch, rotation, and/or hold for 2-3 sets then call it a day

I'm a fan! The change in volume was welcomed since running GS. It had been a while finding a "true" 5RM (we moved in July) so I just picked a safe number. It was maybe the most shoulder work I've done so far, OHP felt as good as ever. My wife said my arms look nice which always feels good

I anticipate this next round will be illuminative, especially since I'm done eating like shite through the holidays. I bought the strong app to track it (no printer ), will start posting in the check-in thread
