Anyone here do these regularly? I did one for the first time yesterday. Although, i assume these arent the most accurate ways of measuring, how far off do you think these are? I was surprised at my BF percentage. It came back 15.7%. I was honestly thinking closer to 20%, but ive never done any measuring before, so i was basing it off of those pics you see online.

What are the boards opinions of these types of tracking?

i personally like them and find them within 1% of the dexa scans I have had performed. Now i did each one first thing after pissing and before drinking or eating anything. Alos was on a really consistant diet everytime and made sure i timed everything the same everytime.

I tried to do mine first thing in the morning before eating and drinking a bunch of water, but the place didn't open until 10am, so I ended up going workout before, so I prolly had an extra two or three pounds of water weight from my workout. But good to know how it measures up to the Dexa scan.

I get one pretty regularly to track my progress after cutting/bulking. It’s definitely a good tool for this. My gym has one, so it’s always convenient.

They seem pretty legitimate. I’d say between 1-2% IMO. Just make sure to put your real height in there (without shoes) for a more accurate reading. Adding to your height makes the results a lot less accurate.

Pretty inaccurate as are DEXA scans. Honestly best bet is caliper method.

dexa is much more accurate than calipers. considered the holy grail. Calipers are way too dependant on the guy taking the measurement and vary way way too much.

and ftr a true 15.7% body fat is damn good.

163 lean lbs on 5'7" frame is impressive as shite and shows years of dedication. Gonna look sick if you slowly whittle yourself down to around 180.

That's kind of the plan. I don't know if I'll get down to 180, but 185 would be nice, if I can maintain the lean mass. I just need to get out of my own head when thinking about my diet. I'm scared that I cut out too many calories, and lose these sick fricking gains.

777 commented on the 163lbs of lean body mass on a 5'7" frame, and you're rocking 170lbs! Nice.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your diet like, and how often do you go to the gym?
