Does it make the most sense to add the same amount of length to wedges as irons? I have +1” on irons but stock wedges. Was wondering if adding length causes loss of control or any issues.

ETA - Did some more research and my PW is currently 36.75" with the +1" added. Stock wedges are 35", should I really be adding an inch and a half to 50 degree to be 1/4" less than my PW?

Sounds reasonable to me.

If you are tall enough to need +1 in your clubs, I’d recommend the whole bag.

I think for the "full" swings some added length would help. I wasn't sure if keeping the 1/4" drop between clubs made for better distance gapping than just making them all one length.

Best thing I ever did was go +2 w all my edges. Now same as 9 iron this ole man can’t stay “Down and Thru” anymore

I also play +1 on my irons and last year went +1 in wedges. I highly recommend it!

However, I play 2*up (lie) in my irons. My 50* is 1 up and 54/58 are standard lie

Standard lie, 1/2 inch longer shaft. Keeps me from bending a little at the knees

I order them from the manufacturer that way. They take care of the swing weight. Everything is at D2/3

Good to know. I assume that by adding an extension instead it would add a little bit of weight.

I am probably not quite good enough to notice that difference.

Yes! Last winter, changed grips to a heavier grip and it threw my clubs way out of whack! Every 3/4 gram weight change is one swing weight. The grips I changed were 22g heavier, I couldn’t hit the ball it was so wonky.

I guess there is nothing than can be done to reduce the swing weight when adding length like that?

Would have to be done when you order the club I guess.

You would have to offset it with weight on the head. The over all weight of the club is gng to go up.
