Adelaide is 100% a success. No doubt about it. But the way Cam Smith is carrying on there shows a lot of peoples issues with LIV in general. He is partying his arse off at concerts every night getting blitzed

Which is fine. But I think it’s just so clear how even the players treat their own tour on liv. It’s just different. And you can like different. To each their own. But it just isn’t overall a real professional competitive situation

That’s your opinion. All the golfers think otherwise. They absolutely go out there trying to win & Cam Smith absolutely wants to go out there and win tomorrow(tonight). 3 shots back from Brendan Steele, I like his chances.

Also, I saw one video of him doing a shooey at the concert last night after shooting a 65 in round 2. Where’s the evidence of the dude “getting blitzed”? Get a grip

No they don’t. Cam smith doesn’t chug beers from shoes and party on stage near midnight for tournaments he truly wants to win

You aren’t going to find anything out. Smith is going to go out tomorrow and of course try and win. And he might play great

But the point is already proven. He doesn’t party like he is for events he is locked in committed on e

So your argument is he doesn’t treat LIV Adelaide the same as a major?

Uhh no shite

Your point is dumb. He truly wants to win this tournament. The fact the he’s enjoying playing back home & chugging a beer doesn’t change that fact.

Feel like this is the best LIV golf tourney, but you know they’re hoping someone other than Brendan Steele wins this

Also, why is this shite not live?

Fun tournament to watch, and the team playoff at the end had a “proof of concept” feel to it. LIV has to be pleased with how it all turned out.

I am not 100% convinced that the crowd understood what was happening in the final four shots, though.

Idk why they don’t lean into the team concept more.. I’ve been saying for over a year they need to include team stroke play to determine a cut. Bottom 4-6 teams after Saturday are out of the money. Would create huge tension and drama

The team playoff between Australia’s Ripper GC and SA’s Sting was something straight out of the Ryder Cup and completely made up for a lackluster leaderboard with Steele winning it.

Just a MASSIVE, MASSIVE weekend for LIV. Valderrama and Rahm’s homecoming will be just as huge. Can’t wait to watch along with all of the international viewers.

why is there such a need to be so hyperbolic about LIV?

Can't we just say it was really cool without needing to be over the top?

Also, it definitely felt like it got a hair out of hand with some of the Aussie fans yelling during the South African's swings, but I'm not exactly sure that they care.

LIv averaged 33k fans a day attendance

The Zurich should get around 40k today. No need to oversell it.

Good to see someone like Steele win it. That win likely keeps him in top 24 of season standings & keeps him on LIV for another year. He barely had any top 20 finishes until this weekend.

Yeah can’t get much better with a team playoff between the Australian & South African teams. Guess Cam Smith did party too hard (only shot a 70) to catch Steele. At least they still got the team win though so it was a successful weekend

Pride will throw out any numbers to try & make the mighty PGA Tour look superior to a new tour in year 2.

They got 35k last year for a single day. They will best thst with Rory in contention. Sorry it angers you but it’s so weird to just live ignorant.

quote:

PGA Tour changes notwithstanding, the Zurich remains healthier than ever. The 2023 tournament set a single-day attendance record with a crowd of more than 35,000 for Saturday's third round. Tournament officials also donated an all-time high $2.843 million to area children’s charities and causes. Suite sales and pro-am sponsorships for this year’s tournament are on a record pace, Worthy said.

Do you take joy in me owning you with facts left and right?
