you separately insure your golf clubs? I know you have a ton of clubs but do you have a separate policy or noted items on your homeowners?

It's called a personal articles floater .. they're under 100 a year normally..

Both mine and my daughters bags are covered...B/c having probably 10k between the two and are bags are normally together losing both would really suck..

I mean just normal stuff like Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade and Titleist.. Oldest club in either of our bags are our putters and they're only about 3 years old.. I've got a Scotty and she has a custom Spyder..

I'm also not figuring in depreciation.. I'm going off what everything cost new out the door.. hell Her newest additions were 3 custom fit SM10s and they were damn near 700 bucks after taxes

Yep and it's not just the clubs. You have the bag, rangefinder, balls, sunglasses, etc...

That's why I have a separate policy.

It's easy to have a 5k set these days.

Exactly, hell if I do the rough math.. my bag

Dr - 975
5&7 wood - 800+
Hybrid - 300
Irons- 1300
Wedges- 600
Putter- 500
Bag- 250ish
Range finder -400..

The that's above 5.

Add in balls, tees, markers, alignment tools and practice aids , first aid, knife, etc.. etc.. id probably have another few hundred bucks in just stuff like that..

Definitely not hard to ring up 5Gs on a full bag replacement

And that's where clubs start getting stupid expensive.. upgraded shafts start ticking up those dollar signs... Hell I've got and uncle that's has been a golfer for 60+ years and his setup I know is stupid expensive.. His Driver, 2 woods and hybrid all have AutoFlexs in them.. he's got probably more invested in 4 shafts than most have in entire bags .

$200 Red White and Blue Cobra Speedzone
$100 TaylorMade Mini driver
$50 cobra 1 iron
$350 Cobra Fly-z pro irons
$100 Cleveland sand wedge/Titleist lob wedge
$2 Odyssey white hot #5 ( bought at Goodwill still had plastic on grip) best putter I've ever owned

People that buy clubs the year they come out are silly goofs that think one year makes a difference

Wow.. would you like a cookie for your thriftiness??

And not that I need to justify anything to some presumptuous dip shite from a message board but prior to my new purchases most of my clubs were 20 years old and my daughter plays tournament golf so as she's gotten stronger and better we've upgraded..

Also, what's it to you what people spend their disposal income on?? Golf is my hobby and I've have friends with much stranger hobbies that spend waaaay more on theirs than I do on golf...

But hey, thanks for letting the rest of us know you're tighter than a gnats arse.. Guess you won't be buying drinks after a hole in one..

I have an insurance rider as well for my clubs.
Do you have it through your home insurance? I’ve heard never claim anything on your home unless it’s major so am contemplating a different or more specialized company.

Haha…I’m above $5k as well, but it sounded high at first. After I did the math, I’m an idiot…

In fact, my tahoe will be parked at Rouse's in an hour. My clubs will be in the back seat. The car will be left unlocked so you won't need to break the glass. Thank you for your service.
I tried this with a couple of boats. No takers
