I’m going to say that radishes are underrated. Great addition to most salads, can be used as a garnish for seafood dishes, and go great with hummus.

Blood orange is good like said above. I like dragon fruit if you get a good one. Walmart one's suck. My favorite is a peach or homegrown tomato.

Every part of the radish is useful to. Has a short maturity and a temperature tolerance so it is 1 of the early garden veggies.

Unfortunately about 6 years ago I found out I can’t eat them w/out truly triggering a bout of pancreatitis requiring hospitalization.

White squash are uncommon and very good.

Okra. Like Bubba and shrimp, so many options and I love them all.

Great fruits but not sure how either could be considered underrated.

I love it fried, grilled, stewed, steamed, pickled, in gumbos and soups.

One of my favorites to grow in a summer garden. Can't believe most stores sell it for $4 and up a lb. since it's so easy to grow and produces like mad.

My shrimp and turnip stew gets rave reviews from everyone. Stolen from a guy that made it when he couldn’t find potatoes during the early days of Covid hoarding.
