I have found maybe one place that has head-on shrimp that are large enough for a boil.
Anybody know a market DFW?
Does anybody ship fresh shrimp? Tonys?

You can boil shrimp without the heads.

Agreed. I just like the flavor with the heads on. They just taste way better and being everyone coming over is family and from BR, I want it to be legit boil.

Yes they do have head-on shrimp. They call them a med size. I might swing by one day this week and check them out.
Thanks Zappa.

I'll swing by there to see what they look like. Agreed, I don't like them 2 big for a boil.
What would a med size be in count size? 25-30 count?

Wouldn't this matter for people "friends" from parts unknown instead of people from BR (family) who likely have been a part of many "legit" shrimp boils?

I don't think you are getting fresh shrimp at this time of year, they are all IQF shrimp that have been thawed.

You would be incorrect. I bought some 3 weeks ago when the beach season opened off of Terrebonne. You can get Fresh Shrimp almost year round now.
