Ever flip back and forth on whether you like a food item?

Ordered some nigiri sushi last night for my entree, nothing I haven’t enjoyed before:

And the uni just kind of got me sideways…maybe it was the eel and uni combo. IDK.

On the ride home I started to think about dishes that I like and then don’t like…the preparation or the specific cut…the only one I could think of besides the uni, that I now don’t like, was lasagna. The preparations with lots of ricotta are not good to me. I couldn’t think of another.

Have any foods that are on the like/dislike boarder line, depending on mood or preparation?

Agreed. I had to slow up on ordering it at Digiulio's because it is sometimes all ricotta there, which is hard to eat.

I also agree on uni done in the way you posted. I like uni used in smaller amounts on other items. Like as a garnish. TBH, I never get assorted sushi that I didn't choose myself because they tend to fill it at least half up with the ones I'd never order myself.

As to your question, it has always been eggs for me. I enjoy eggs, but certain preparations just don't do it for me.

As long as the egg white is firm I’m good. The last preparation I had at a restaurant was a sloppy, slimy mess.
