Most Texan's who like good bbq avoid it. So take that for what it's worth.

The previous thread on this topic declared it to be serviceable, disgusting, meh, pretty good, horrible, dry dogshit and not too shabby.

It’s on par with some place like Voodoo BBQ (RIP)

I've had it 3-4 times and I could alternately utilize all of those words to describe it.

It seems like, with the way they store and serve their barbecue (they are typically taking it out of cellophane wrapping to serve), the crap shoot of when you're getting what can put what you're getting into any one of those categories.

I think it’s pretty decent for chain BBQ. There are much better options in places like Dallas or Houston, but dickies is alright. I go sometimes. Usually no line and they have everything in stock.

IMO, the one in Lafayette pretty much sucks.

I think it's barely above Shanes, if at all.

I don't know how many big chain BBQ places are out there, but it's hard to imagine there are many worse. Something like City BBQ is much, much better than Dickeys.

Had to look it up, I had no clue that area was referred to as Arlington

I actually think Jim and Nicks is really good but that’s a small chain (48 locations) and more just southeast.

The shopping center is named Arlington Creek Center. It refers to the shopping center.

We have a Dickeys here, average at best. Sonny's puts them to shame.

I get that but it looks like the whole area is now referred to as Arlington. Used to be a place to go mud riding back in the day

Agreed. Due the the OP's description, I was thinking Govt. St. at Arlington.

No. They used to have a “kids eat free on Sunday” promotion, that was the only time and only reason we ever went there.

There was one here in Kingwood that had a mysterious fire a couple of months ago and also ruined half of the other stores in the same strip center.
