How many of y'all use this? It is pretty much the only rice I will make now. It has such a wonderful, nutty flavor. It also has tons of antioxidants. Plus, it really has a cool look.

Do you have it with gumbo or other rice and gravy meals?

I’ve done it with gumbo during football season just for fun

Yes, it has completely replaced white rice in all of my dishes. It works great for gumbo (imo) because it actually adds another layer of flavor.

The only thing I still use white rice for is for Tahdig (crispy Persian rice)

Years ago, my wife brought some back from Tiawan. It was good, and since I've bought it once or twice when I see it.

Bought some years ago at Costco, but I only ate it a few times because I didn't like the texture. I'll stick with Jasmine.

Worldwide there are many many varieties of rice...all colors and lengths.

Personally, I like the minimally milled "brown rice's" and have been cooking a lot recently within short grained... nuttier imo.

Purple rice may be better for you, and the Jazzmen brand used to be widely distributed...maybe not now. While colorful it tasted like...rice!

Peolpe should know that LSU Ag is a major player in rice breeding. Clearfield rice is a very major LSU advancement. Too bad that bags of rice on the store shelf don't always tell you the story.
