Just because he's more efficient doesn't mean he's not recruiting hard. Technology has changed since 2011, not Nick Sabans work ethic.
He texts, zooms, etc all day with top recruits and visits when he knows it will be the family present for in homes.
What you described is what every head coach does.

My guess is that they really want fickel but if they promote freeman to interim coach, they may be stuck keeping him.

Yes but there are a more than a few. I have no idea who they are and how much they contribute. They could be guys who set the film room up and fetch coffee for all I know. WE have never had some big name analyst. Pretty sure that only happens south of the mason dixon.
