Just like Riley, Kelly hit the ceiling at ND.

Come on down! Great hire!

With the scholly restrictions and ND academic standards ND will probably never win another NC again...he's tired of being handcuffed...

Why would any of the big names we've been discussing for the last month come to LSU - the same reasons apply to BK.

He got as much out of ND as anyone possibly can in modern times. Can’t recruit the same type of athletes even though he did it as well as anyone could.

You can’t beat elite playoff rosters without an elite roster yourself. He can get that at LSU.

It is a tough one to figure but usually the simple answer is the best. There are two, money, a championship ring or two.

A buddy of mine is a big ND fan. He said money for assistants and admission standards are always a problem. Most fans there realize how hard it is to win an NC while being hampered. He understood the move but hates losing Kelly.

He’s significantly underpaid there. Notre Dame considers it an honor to coach there, justifying the lower pay.
