The only thing Les ever ripped was 2007 VT

The 2007 Virginia Tech game was a solid win. But no more solid than the 2005 bowl win against Miami. Or the 2006 bowl win against Notre dame. Even the 2008 bowl win against Georgia Tech was just as solid a win as the VT game.

But.....without that early blowout win over VT in 2007 no way a 2 loss team plays for the national title...no way.

I mean if we had played Furman or some such along with our other 3 non-conference games that year (a route many fans wanted us to take) instead of blowing out VT we don't play for the title. So not only was it arguably the most impressive win it was also the most important win of Miles career, without in no Natty that year.

2011 had an incredible 9 games of +40pts scoring (all wins, w/o benefit of OT), with 6 being top 20 ranked.
I'd say that was going on a tear instead of a rip.
