THIS. Can we all agree they were both involved in an unhealthy relationship? This doesn’t mean they are murderers or serial wife/husband beaters or that they abused everyone they came in contact with. Certain situations can create those scenarios. Here’s a great example.

My God. We have been going back and forth on WHO the abuser is for 100 pages now. It’s also worth noting in the police video GP seemed at the emotional level of an 18 year old. These two were kids, yes in their 20s, but obviously emotionally unintelligent.

Their parents also were asked not to disclose the details of their relationship. I’m sure there was a strong reason for that. To me, that implies the parents knew something was ugly about it... did the family step in to help?

I’m looking at GP/ parents who waited 10 days to report missing and I’m looking at BL’s parents are in whatever sticky situation they are in now.

I've seen it asked here, but not answered. At what point does that van they were living in also become a shared domicile, thus making it, at least legally, part his?

When his name goes on the title. Some of you are dying to justify him repeatedly kicking her out of her own van.

I don't know why a local homicide detective would be intervening in what appears to be a federal investigation.

US Marshalls? OK. That would make sense.

Local authorities can hold someone until the feds arrive.

Looks like the press conference is tomorrow. Guess they don’t have anything important to say if it can wait 24 hours?

Has anyone been watching the live stream of the house? It looks like a few of the LEO vehicles have left. Cops still outside. Are they still going through the house?

Anyone see the bald headed cop earlier put his plastic water bottle down on the ground and not pick it back up for awhile....they're really pulling out all the stops to get BL to come out from hiding

I THINK these are 2 different incidents

Nope the caller states he is by the moonflower co-op which was the location of the original incident that led to the body cam footage.

Just watched their Van Life video and the police bodycam video. My take is that she seems unstable and a handful but his demeanor reminds me of the guy who killed his wife and kids and put their bodies in the tank, Chris Watts. A little too cool and friendly in what should be an upsetting situation (in this case, pulled over by the cops for domestic violence, in the Watts case, wife missing.)

I am also not drawing any conclusions from the YT video or IG posts. Those social medial posts are intended to influence others into that lifestyle and the freedom and happiness its brings you. Pictures are worth 1000 words, but those words cant tell us the truth.

More than likely the locals had someone close and the marshals reached out. All these US Marshal task forces you hear about apprehending fugitives are mostly local cops teamed up with a couple US Marshals. They use the local resources to chase down bad guys.

Are we really debating who the abuser is when one ended up dead in a forest? Seems pretty obvious to me

Maybe they knew one of them was a chronic abuser? Or they knew they both were?

pair this with the 911 call,

But that's just one person's call

A case like this creates calls. The next nominee to the Supreme Court may have women he doesn't know saying he raped them.

It was a contentious relationship. When they called off the engagement they should have left each other's company period. I wish one of them had put their foot down and forced that immediately. They may now both be dead.

The one released today is not very helpful, but it seems it was in a town. The one with the video clearly is not.

FoxNews description:
quote:

FIRST ON FOX: The 911 caller who reported a "domestic dispute" between Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito in Moab, Utah, on Aug. 12 was heard telling a dispatcher that "the gentleman was slapping the girl" and hitting her, Fox News has confirmed Monday after exclusively obtaining the audio of the call.

"He was slapping her?" the dispatcher was heard asking.

"Yes, and then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off," the caller added.

This is the Moab, Utah incident on Aug 12 that we saw in the cop bodycam footage.

I dont want to incriminate them just yet. He could have easily lied to his parents and said she decided to fly home. Not sure if the two's parents know each other, but theoretically he could have had 17 days to plan a getaway and used his parents.

Someone on another board commented on the fact that BL drove a mustang and yet was a non-plastic water bottle drinking hippie who liked to eat raw veggies in front of his iPhone. Maybe a Prius would be more fitting
