So that sucked… can’t believe we’re only on match day 3 and already need to win on the road to dig ourselves out.

5 points is still attainable, but frick it’s not good if we can’t break defensive blocks at home.

I’m also convinced Pulisic, McKennie and Adams will never play with each other again. We finally get them all together in camp with no physical injuries, then bullshite happens.

Weston is supposed to be the eventual captain of this squad

But he needs to grow up

Can’t be putting himself before the team

I think Pulisic has one.

McKennie has a damn personal photographer.

You said we don’t need starters to win.

That nations league final showed Weston has what it takes

At this point that’s gonna take some time to rebuild that trust and credibility with teammates and coaches

We don’t… we had way more talent than them on the pitch tonight, even with McKennie and Reyna out.

I think we still draw with McKennie playing tonight. I just want to see three our best players get some games together.

What we need is a striker… which we just don’t have so we’re basically entering every match with one arm tied behind our back.

My biggest issue with the first two games is there’s been no linkup between the midfield and the attack. Adams has been a machine at defensive mid but we need a good passer with him to try to get balls into feet.

Missing Musah, Weston, and Reyna really hurts here because they are the best at progressing the ball up field imo. To me it almost doesn’t matter though, because it was too static anyway, except rare instances when Pulisic tucked inside and checked to the ball. Everyone wanted the ball at their feet and then just stood there. There needs to be a backup plan or some overarching attacking scheme for the team to follow, and it felt like we had none. Bay far the most frustrating thing to watch this game for me.

I would have really liked to see Luca De La Torre, Julian Green, and a replacement for Weah this window. shite, a guy like Cowell could have been a solid fill in for a guy who will stretch lines and wear down teams.

Nah Adams is the guy for the future. Wes has the class clown.l personality. Captain needs to be the one to keep everyone else in check.

No Musah has really hurt this camp.

And, maybe others will disagree, but I think leaving Hoppe and his attitude at home was a terrible decision. You need that bite and he’d have been the perfect player. He’s physical as well which is half the battle in CONCACAF.

I think his was more of a trying to find a new team omission than anything else.

We have too many midfielders who are just varying degrees of the same player.

While I agree to the extent that it gives you another midfielder that can hold possession and be confident on the ball, I don't think him missing this camp is the reason why we can't seem to string multiple dangerous passes together. (If it is, then we got some really big issues)

I really just think opposing teams realized through the Nations League and Gold Cup that we have no real attacking bite outside of hoping one of Pulisic, Dest or Reyna can beat a man or two off the dribble and work from there. Basically the book is out on us, let us have all the possession, send the kitchen sink at Pulisic when he's on the ball and we're out of options after that.

Gregg (and the players to an extent) has to figure out new ideas. And we got to do it fast because now we HAVE to win at Honduras... if we only get two or three points in our first three matches (which was supposed to be one of our easier WCQ windows), we're kinda fricked.

No we’re not. If we draw Honduras, we’ll probably only be 1 point out of third.

We could easily 7-9 points from the next block of matches.

Nah, three points in this window is bad.

Don't spin it.

Still way early to really fear this, but I legit think Pulisic will become a crazed serial killer if he is shouldered with two failed qualifying cycles before he turns 24.

Oh it’s definitely bad, and I’m pissed. That said we’re not fricked. We have more talent than all these teams sans Mexico, so I see no reason we shouldn’t expect to win every game going forward.

CP needs to get on the ball more. We need to move him into a #10 role. Canada packed it in and the only time we had anyone create in front of their back line was Pefok dropping.

McKennie, Lletget, Acosta, Musah whoever playing behind the striker just isn’t getting it done breaking down these teams.

I actually thought Pefok was fine and better than Sargent. I don’t think we’re creating enough chances to pretend this is just a #9 issue.
