People here are pretty good at posting current events, and even though I am far left of a lot of you all in here, I like to try to get a balanced perspective (in a real sense, not a "I watched CNN I am now a moderate" way) and hear both sides of an issue if possible. I appreciate you guys for being so conservative in a world where only being a leftist is socially acceptable

I registered here years ago when the CBSSports college football board was down for a few days. Then forgot about Tigerdroppings until the night of the Las Vegas mass shooting. Was googling for some information and a link brought me here. Was impressed by the amount of information that appeared here before it did in the mainstream press, as well as some of the knowledge about guns (I'm a rare big 2A guy that has never owned a gun). I think I only lurked during Las Vegas, but then when Covid and all the politics surrounding it appeared, I came back and started participating.

News and the multiple take from posters. BTW there are truly ignorant folks that post here. This board is the reason for getting an account. There was one poster, who I think passed, that posted daily during the early obama years. You had to be signed in to view the posts. I have looked at nearly every thread since.

As someone who considers themselves pretty center and independent(slightly left leaning lately).
