While I agree that these rules are overkill, the fact is, for the season at least, any player that is not vaccinated has a very good chance of being forced to miss extended time because of COVID exposure. This could happen more than once too.

I think the rules are ridiculous, but that's just the way it is right now.

It will be interesting to see what these coaches and schools do when they have to forfeit a game because they have too many unvaccinated kids get exposed and they are forced to quarantine making them unable to field a team. Depending on the timing they may be forced to forfeit two games.

I think the pressure for these players to get vaccinated is going to get turned up big time when this starts happening.

And that will mean nothing if you can still transmit the fricking virus if vaccinated. No way this is spun makes any sense.

It already has. My son is a senior with college offers. There are a few D1 schools he’s in contact with who want to see a few game films from senior year before final offer. Last year he missed 2 games because some clown that tackled him tested positive for covid in an already shortened season. He said he couldn’t risk missing games and film and had to make the adult decision no 17 year old should have to…to get an unapproved “vaccine” which lowers your effects if you get it. Doesn’t prevent the disease mind you just lowers effects (see definition of what a vaccine is
“a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases”)
