I’m not one that stresses a lot about overall strength/maxes. I only max really before Squatober to make sure those numbers are accurate. Being under the barbell for the last 6-7 months really just considering that as a change up more than anything.

so last night did w2d1 of filling out the hoodie. i did sub standing press for DB press as i kind of have a goal in mind for that lift that im chasing. Also continued to superset the facepulls with the db press too

on the DB skull crushers, had to sub those as i can do those with Powerblocks with 1 db and two hands. so subbed BFR one arm extensions with the bands. amazing pump after the dips

also with dips, i added a superset of lateral raises just to get some more shoulder volume in.

Decided to redo week 1 of strongville, just moved my training Max down.

Day 1 staircase is still really hard. That's all I got.

It's all those carries.

Starting SeeSaw tonight. I really enjoyed that before, so I'm hoping it'll motivate my arse.

For the folks doing 70's big... Can you tell me how much weight you were using when you finished the 10 sets of 20 lateral raises cause I was at 5 lbs on set 10 and felt like a bitch.

becomes a point where even raising your arms is hard

i did w2d2 of filling out the hoodie last night. everything felt great until last set of barbell curls, tweaked the right elbow just enough to annoy me. didnt want to push it with more curls like it called for so called it a night.

Half way done with pool season and it seems the theme of this program is Dumbbell. fricking. Rows. Pretty sure they’re every day lol

Just finished my boiled eggs, oats, and protein bar breakfast. Ready to light up deadlift day.

Spent the weekend in Nashville with my daughter for a gymnastics meet. While the trip was nice, I paid for it yesterday. I didn't get enough water or sleep and food quality was meh at best.

Dumbbell Strength W2D1
Today was pretty blah. Woke up at 3:30 for a 6:30 flight so I only got about 4-5 hrs sleep. Just wasn't in the mood for working out but knew I needed to do it anyways. Got everything completed with the planned weights with the exception of 1 rep on seated shoulder press. The forearm pump from the first 2 supersets was unreal. By the last set of skullcrushers, my arms were just jello. Last couple reps were hard to complete since my arms felt heavy and were just sort of numb.

Dumbbell Strength W2D2
Today went better than yesterday. The worst of it today was the last set of walking lunges 24 reps (12 each leg). I was very pleased with the 1 arm rows and plan on bumping up the weight next time. Elbows started to hurt some during the last sets of alternating DB curls and Zottman curls. Form on the last set suffered and I probably should've dropped down. I plan on putting some elbow compression sleeves on next time for a little added support.

Glad days 1 and 2 are done this week. If you have an undisciplined weekend, this plan will make you pay for it.

Those high rep lat raises suck. I feel like I’ll never move up weight…. I think I used 10lbs but it was definitely to heavy after a few sets in. I usually take a mini rest if I fail and try to finish the reps.

Started with 10 and dropped to 5 somewhere along the way. It was rough.

70s Big Done. Great program.

Some of the workouts were a bit long, but solid program.

I have done one of his 1000 reps workouts that he posted randomly a while back and it was a doozy. I did it on a weekend when I had way more time.

I’m in the same week, and a theme for me is cutting the bicep work short. I’m pretty scared about sustaining a real bicep injury so often scale/cut sets. Been lifting for years, but PPSA is more bicep volume than I’ve ever done.

Skipped my auxiliary workout yesterday. After a sub-optimal weekend and 2 hard days I knew I'd be better off resting for the day.

Dumbbell Strength W2D3
I think BURN was the theme today. Damn near every superset brought some serious burning with it; no pain, just fire. I don't know if the SS of high rep RFESS/DB RDLs or lat raises/front raises was worse. Then ending with a SS of farmers walks and DB shrugs prompted something I haven't noticed before. The veins bulging on my hands would put Bane to shame.

After 3 hard days this week, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Based on my notes from last week and looking at the sets/reps for tomorrow, it should be about 15 min shorter than the other workouts this week.
