This. In addition, there's always the option of establishing residency elsewhere and putting your children in a more freedom-friendly environment. I realize this isn't a possibility for all, but rainy day funds aren't just for broken dishwashers.

We're a Catholic family supporting two EBR Catholic schools. All options were on the table yesterday.

This is fantastic news. Congratulations good citizens of BR.

Now Archdiocese of New Orleans take note and pay close attention to what just happened to your peers just to the west.

Good. The rest of this country needs to wake up and start pushing back more like this. It’s time for all this bullshite to stop, and I’m not just taking about masks and COVID restrictions.

Protect my healthy 14 yr old from the Rona? Why? She's not in any danger anyway

Then we need to give them something more fulfilling to parrot. I think you vastly underestimate the gas in the tanks of those with that mentality. Use their laziness against them.

If we can pick each other up out of the water when it gets too high, then this shite will be cake.

Glad the stance on masks changes, but extremely disappointed in Duca for not making the correct call to begin with. How reassuring is it to know that the leader of the BR diocese changes his mind as to however the wind blows?

Why is thread not 26 pages like the one stating masks were required?

People are satisfied with this decision. Satisfied doesn't usually lend itself to long threads.

Be a use there is no reason to argue about it or try and galvanize people to action. The result was achieved.

So did this Duca dude not know about the shite that got sent out yesterday? Heard he was on vacation.

I found it interesting that the initial rules came from the office of schools, and the reversal came from the Bishop.

Usually the Bishop doesn't get directly involved in school decisions.

Now while you have the momentum, go after them for their woke and CRT curricula and faculty.

I don’t think this is a thing in catholic schools

It absolutely is. SJA is an extremely progressive fricktarddom educational facility. Their teachers are a bunch of emotional women who shouldn't be employed much less educators.

Liberal arse r/Los angeles is losing their shite about indoor masks.

If one of the most liberal city’s subreddit is against it I can’t imagine what it would be like in Louisiana if they tried it

r/Los Angeles isn't upset about the mandates going back in place, they're upset at the "conservative anti-vaxxers" who haven't got their shots.

The decision makers are absolutely clueless and will continue to push this bs. Push back.

Tell that to the legislature. They're being completely overrun right now with calls in favor of constitutional carry, but many of them "want to keep their sheriff happy" and will likely reverse their vote.
