I am planting a pecan orchard. I plan on planting 100 trees, i have 30 in ground now. I planted Elliot and Jackson trees. Any advice on fertilizing, pruning and upkeep on trees. Thanks

Following. I have the same plan - about 100 trees. We put 13 in the ground last fall and have 25ish ordered for this year. So far we have Elliot, excel, and sumner, but we are getting our arse handed to us by either caterpillars or deer. Everytime they leaf out and look ok they will get ALL of their leaves eaten in a day. Started spraying a couple weeks ago and am going to get some wire fencing to wrap them in tomorrow. Hopefully it’s not too late they are looking rough.
