anyone have the exact recipe? i'll pay for it! i have yet to find a better recipe for me personally - and i have copied every texas chili cookoff champions's recipes available since 1995 or bought from personally.

Did you once have it and lose it, or did you just taste the results and never had the recipe?

well i followed those instructions to a t, but not quite right. several times. also had a j alex employee tell me they did not use ground chuck - maybe ground ribeye or sirloin, but that should not make a huge difference.

i got it really close once and lost the recipe - but it had MANY MORE ingredients than he lists including a touch of chocolate. may not have really been the recipe at all though.
