New year new thread. Still a few days left in the month but I think I’ll start out with this guy on Monday to officially kick off my year.

Wow, #3.

I picked these up today. The smaller one is full and I cannot sell it full.

Safe to drink?

So does the high number of posts weigh a thread down like an anchor?

Q has nothing on this thread.

Took a flyer on Benchmark No. 8 (under $11 at Albertson's) - same distillery as Buffalo Trace - respectable. Strong vanilla notes and a subtle burn. Wont be replacing my Old Forester 1920, but not bad when you are slumming.

New to this whiskey/bourbon game. I love eagle rare and buy when I can. The other day I found a bottle and they also had a blantons so I bought it. Never had it before but not sure if I should open it or sell/trade it.

After seeing some scotch get posted, I decided it’s time to get in the game.

Anyone tried Barrel Bourbon brand? Someone mentioned it to me today, but I had never heard of it.

Going to Volume III made me think back to when we had the Bourbon Back Channel.

Anybody else remember those days?

In pour order from left to right:

I may not be a smart man but I can tell the difference between 1, 2 vs 3, 4.

Gotta say, I like the 82 proof Cooper's Craft better than the 100 and the Bulleit Rye better than the Bourbon.

But that WR from Oak Point and the ER are oh so good.
