OMC (Outboard Marine Corp) Made Lawn Boy mowers..
Some were even two stroke..

Lawn-Boy is a brand of lawn mower, originally manufactured by the Evinrude Company in 1934 and owned since 1989 by Toro. It was the first one-handed reel power mower introduced to the American public. Evinrude purchased Johnson Motor Wheel Company from a New York stock brokerage firm a year later, and in 1936 they merged with the Outboard Marine and Manufacturing Company (OMC),

Lawnboy used to make a hell of a mower. Dad had one for 18 years. 2 cycle engine aluminum deck. I used that thing my whole childhood.

Made several elk hunts in the flat tops between 2002 and 2012 and after meeting up with a buddy that lived in Co Springs, we used to stop for breakfast at the Turntable diner in Minturn on the way. Cool place.
Sadly the Turntable is no longer...had many a meal in that little diner/restaurant.

Nope it's real. They were sold starting in 1946. I think only 10 were purchased by civilians,
Aero Vintage
Most were scrapped.

Now most of the mower decks are stamped steel and even if cleaned well after every use they rust out over time.
Right now I have a Briggs & Stratton engine sitting in my shed after removing it from a mower that was falling apart due to the deck being so corroded.
