My brother had it. He treated the fever with acetaminophen every 6 hours and did great!

Until his fever reached 104 and he refused to go to the hospital and his wife finally called EMS and they put my mom on zoom to say goodbye because she wasn’t allowed in person.

No biggie.

Thanks for the replies. Just want some perspective. Hey dirtsandwich no troll here. This thing is not going away and will turn into a cold, buddy. Better prepare yourself. If I don’t catch it this year I’ll catch it next or three years from now or five years from now. And like I said, I hope/expect to be fine in the end.

Those who answered seriously—I got what I wanted out of the thread.

I took some Advil to keep my fever down for 2 days. Unless you are fat, old, or have respiratory/circulatory conditions, you will be fine.

Other than waking up in the middle of the night and pacing around because of my chest feeling like it was on fire, there's not much I did. Just waited it out until I got better. The worst of the symptoms lasted maybe 2-3 days. Got better after that

I’m 25. Got it back in July. Starting getting a slight itch in my throat. The next day started running fever so I got tested. It came back positive. I ran fever from about 100-101 for about 2-3 days. After the fever went away I was completely fine. It was really quick for me. I felt terrible for like 3 days and then on the 4th day I felt 100 percent which I thought was weird. I had the flu last year and that shite was way worse.

Just drank plenty of water and made sure I got 8-10 hours rest every day. Check temps regularly if you feel like you have abnormal chills/sweats.

Optional: start drinking 3 days after onset of symptoms if your symptoms were only 36hrs like mine.

could you please share the daily regimen that worked for yall?

Tylenol and motrin for headache/fever. Time for the rest. Wife took some zofran for the bit of nausea she got. I think I took a Zyrtec for a stuffy nose. I may have taken it twice.

You're unlucky man. I'm 25 too and it was the mildest illness I've ever had in my life. Every cold I have had was worse.

I had Covid. Felt like I had the flu for a week and a cold for two more weeks. For me personally it wasn’t that bad. I actually kept working just did it from home. Where I’ve run into problems was 4 months later I started having heart problems and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy which was caused by having that virus.

Hmm, yes, very interesting info points indeed. I'm marking you down in the books for 6 positive cases and 2 covid-related deaths. And 1 successful recovery.

I had it in mid-March unknowingly. I went to work on a Monday after tending to a garden all weekend and felt a little sore. I just chalked it up to the bending, stooping, etc. and being out in the sun all weekend. By the end of the day, I had legitimate leg pain, body aches, and just felt very heavy overall. I remember driving home feeling real bad and when I got home I damn near collapsed on the couch. Ate a big, juicy burger and some french fries and washed it down with a pint and felt immediately better.

I was a little achy the next day or 2, but nothing severe. Lost sense of taste and smell for a few weeks, leading to a decrease in appetite. Aside from that, I didn't miss a day of work. No breathing issues, no fever, etc. I didn't take aspirin because I'm not big on pills, but did vape some weed to alleviate the symptoms.

Serious replies appreciated, because we are not in the States and I’m genuinely looking for advice. Thanks in advance

I had a very severe case....I have A- blood: do some research.....the virus hates us. So, my case was severe......it lasted 2.5 weeks.....for about 7 of those days it’s the worst I’ve ever felt. As it began to wane.....I started feeling better incrementally everyday. Used Tylenol everyday but it didn’t help.

My only symptoms were fatigued and soreness. They suggested tylenol to reduce fever (which i never has) and mucinex to loosen up mucus in the lungs which i didn't have. I took both as precaution and drank a bunch of Gatorade. I never ended up having any of those symptoms and my fatigued and soreness were gone by day 5. Tylenol, Mucinex, Gatorade and rest like you would if you have Mono. That's about it.
