I think she will be when she lets go another 5 players. You cannot play the portal with 30 kids on the roster. Only so much money via ships to go shopping. We need to release/process about 5 more players IMO. I believe those that thought they were better than those already playing have left, now she will need to release a few more. This is where it gets difficult to cull and manage a roster and keep integrity in place. Gasso and Saban dont have that in their bones so they manage rosters in business style instead of a what is right for the student style.

I don't want to be the first to name specific players, but I could get to five easily. Let's just hope Beth's loyalty to some of these kids who never even see the field isn't what ends up costing her her job.

Does anybody know how the 2023 LSU softball class ranks in the recruiting rankings?

You need to add Savannah Bedell to this list, she is another 2023 that committed after this post, and another top 20 player in the nation.
Although this class has no pitching, this might be the most athletic, talented 2023 recruiting class in the country. Since there are 3 pitchers in the 2022 class, and big target pitcher in the 2024 class, this works ok for the 2023s.
Daniel, Walker, McKee are some of the fastest players in the country.

He certainly inspires a lot of loyalty from his players. When he took the Texas job, four of his better players followed him down there (Iakopo, Rhodes, Burke and Elish).

I am from Crowley and wasn’t aware that Corine Poncho backed off of her commitment to Houston until this morning when I read an article about her winning the 2021 LSWA Miss Softball. Is there any chance she gets offered by LSU and joins Maci and Abigail?

This is wild to me but she has pop in her bat as well. McKee and the Florida commit (Ava Brown) are really good players that stand out at Lake Creek HS.
Sucks we missed out on Brown, she went 30-0, racked up over 340ks with a 0.40 ERA this season. One of the few pitchers I really wanted from the 2023 class.

The most impressive part to me is that these are 6A and 5A schools.Sometimes gaudy numbers are really just kids beating up on smaller classification schools. Will be very interesting to see how their successes translate to the SEC.

Not being critical at all, but where did you find these East Texas softball honors? I've been a HS softball coach in Texas for almost 30 years and I'm trying to figure out where to find these...
Also, Beth was out on the recruiting trail here in Sugar Land today right next to my neighborhood. Some really good players in the Bombers Summer Cup. After just getting back from Tahoe, it was just too hot for me to go out there for more than a few minutes.
