it is tough when you have so many calibers.

i try to have lots of crossover ammo.

have a S&W 44 magnum model 29 dirty harry style revolver

fires same ammo as my henry rifle. most mine tho is 5.56 and 7.62 x39 and 54R. i just have so many calibers mainly for handguns.

A good, quality AR pistol with “brace” and quality optic for up close. A carbine type 30caliber or better light bolt rifle for intermediate distance. A combat type shotgun for crowd control and a mid sized 9mm quality handgun for transitions.

I don’t think so, especially from well established gun shops in your area. If they have been a staple of the area you live in for a long time, then you’re likely to get even better deals and selection on what you want and/or need.

i am a rifle and handgun guy.

but that is good to start.

glocks are great.

get a rifle later. so you have more range and high capacity. i also have high capacity mags for my glocks if needed.

One might have taken advantage over the first three years of trumps presidency. You’d think anyway.

We did this last night with somebody. For home defense Remington 870 tac 14 and any Glock 9mm but I’d say Glock 26 personally.

whatever he is comfortable with. i think he will like simplicity and dependability of glocks. lightweight.plenty rounds. he should have no issue handling a Ar or AK or ruger rifle later. piece of cake.

19 or 19x you want capacity, full grip, and 4.5 inch barrel. I knock glock pretty hard because of the fanbios talking up a 500.00 pistol as awesome then put 1500.00 worth of upgrades to get them to run but they are solid starter pistols. Styer m9, Sig 320, Walter PPQ, HK VP9, Beretta APX, FN 509, are all solid options but Glock has the best after market support. Smith M&P is too hit or miss on QA stuff for me but most would include them.

Do it. And invest the time in learning to use them, and in a CCP

Yes ammo is the most important thing to have stockpiled. Because without it a rifle is a stick and a pistol is a rock. I would recommend that unless you are some kind of collector it would be better to have just one or two guns but plenty of ammo instead of a bunch of guns with few bullets

Glocks are solid for life and fire true straight out of the box. I've owned at least one for the past 30 years.

Personally, my fave is my Walther PPQ M2 // but like my Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 - also have Springfield Armory XD-S but don't fire it as much.
