It’s not my premise it’s reality...it is the default state and therefore in order to change from the status who there needs to be a rigorously backed argument for it.

So if I tell you I need to come into your house to repair your smoke alarm, and then I fix it, and then decided to plop down on your couch, you're not going to ask me WTF I'm still doing there?

Read the bottom of my previous post.

What's the justification?

If you were a leader I would say you should be laughed out the room for that comment. Again everything you do should have an intentional reason. If there is not an intentional reason that makes sense you should stop doing it.

In this case the lockdown was intentionally used to “flatten the curve”. This has been accomplished and meets a suggested federal guideline to implement a plan to work towards opening up. What is the state’s plan to open back up and what are the reasons we are still in this state of lock down?

shite, that is an easy one:

"You know JBE, if we open right now, the trial lawyers will get to sue the hell out of some of the few companies left in Louisiana for exposing their workers to unsafe conditions"

JBE runs to news outlet, immediately opens up state.

I saw no relevant reasons scientific or otherwise to close it down to start with.

JBE:

the longer the state is under stay at home orders the less likely you get re-elected...

no

But, I'll give you a high level, "self evident" argument.

Cases peaked on 4/2. We've gone from 2726 new cases per day down to 331.

The goal was never to get to zero because that's not going to happen. We've basically been mostly flat for the last 10 days. At some point we are going to have to dip our feet in the water. If now isn't the time, then when would that be?

We can open up and live with the consequences. We screw up the food chain and we won’t be able to live with the consequences.

That in itself is a scientific argument. Please present the relevant facts with citations so I may consider it.

Do you have actual scientific data that supports the continued shutdown?

Because LSU football needs to start working out so they can beat Bama 2 years in a row because the data shows that Bama has owned us the last 10 years

Hey JB. You remind me so much of your criminal sheriff father, (except for your looking like a guppy).

There is information about the rise in suicides and malaise in general but, you wouldn't care anyway, so why bother. But, I'll try.
