When all you’ve got is “But Obama...”, it’s probably time to rethink some things.

What you bring up is a fair point. This whole thing is one giant visualization of the frog in the pot of water.

No country seems to give a shite until their ICUs are overwhelmed and they’re quarantining entire cities.

The President slow-played America’s efforts and is now in panic mode to catch up.

The buck stops in the Oval Office. He was arrogant about this, and so was much of this board.

WTF else was Trump supposed to do? What other then the steps he has taken?

You should be worried about Trump Derangement Syndrome which has caused you and several million other liberals to literally lose what you had left of your feeble minds.

Thanks.

He made a dumb statement if NBC quoted him accurately, which is always doubtful since NBC is 100% anti-Trump.

No doctor is going to approve testing everyone who requests to be tested. That would be a stupid thing to strive for.

I think trump said "anybody who NEEDS to be tested will be tested". A little different than WANTS

"needs" is determined by cdc criteria. The issue is the current narrow scope of what the definition of need is.

Not even remotely true.

He started a task force way back in december and initiated travel restrictions starting then.

The entire issue right now boils down the cdc contaminated kits.

Democrats have been lying on Trump since he announced he was running.

He has shoved the truth down your sorry arse throats.

He also said it “was all under control” in late January.

No sense in trying to debate these stupid shite stains.

They are anti-American just like their Democratic sorry arse leaders.

Screamed for open borders and screamed about travel bans. Now they want to blame Trump because the virus spread.

Can you elaborate how he slow played?

Can you also provide in detail what he should’ve done differently?

This question has been asked several times in this thread but no one has attempted an answer. Yours won't either I'm afraid.

What’s not under control about it in the US?

I'm not. His ban on China travel was an excellent move but then he got complacent and embarrassingly overconfident. We let travel from Italy and S. Korea continue WAY too long and we should have been taking more drastic social distancing measures weeks ago.

Trump continues to bring up the China travel too. That doesn't mean shite anymore.

A review of the White House response to the Coronavirus outbreak.... IN JANUARY, before most were paying attention.

In **2018** President Trump established a National Biodefense Strategy specifically to improve the speed of action for any biological risk to U.S. Citizens. LINK

Following the initial reports from China; and anticipating multiple agency aspects of U.S. government would need a unified command structure; on January 30th President Trump assembled a unified task force to coordinate all response efforts across the totality of government.

The task force is coordinated through the National Security Council. It is composed of subject matter experts from White House and several United States Government agencies, and it includes some of the Nation’s foremost experts on infectious diseases.

At the time the task force was established, January 30th, President Trump signed a presidential proclamation, using his authority pursuant to Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, temporarily suspending the entry into the United States of foreign nationals.

The travel restrictions were targeted toward those who would most likely pose a risk of transmitting the 2019 novel coronavirus.

To establish protocols, build out the larger response framework, and initiate proactive coronavirus measures. Immediately following the travel restrictions, January 30th HHS Secretary Alex Azar declared a nationwide public health emergency.

Using the authorities created by President Trump; and in accordance with the declaration, at 5:00 p.m. EST; Sunday, February 2nd, the U.S government implemented temporary measures to increase detection & containment of the coronavirus proactively. Effective February 2nd.

Any U.S. citizen returning to the United States who was in Hubei Province in the previous 14 days was/is subject to up to 14 days of mandatory quarantine.

Any U.S. citizen returning to the United States who was in the rest of Mainland China within the previous 14 days was put through proactive entry health screening at a select number of ports of entry, and up to 14 days of monitored self-quarantine.

All foreign nationals, other than U.S. citizens and permanent residents, who traveled in China within the prior 14 days were denied entry into the United States.

The temporary entry ban continues through today.

In response to these proactive measures, Democrats and the national media declared that President Trump and his administration were "overreacting" to the issue.

Accusing President Trump of "manufacturing a crisis", where no crisis exists.

The attacks against President Trump for being too proactive with national security measures in response to the possible risks of the Coronavirus were 26 days ago.

Now the same voices claim President Trump did not do enough.
